TOP TEN of 2012: Best Book Boyfriends of 2012

So today’s topic is 10 Best Book Boyfriends; In my definition, these are the swoon-worthy ones and if only they were real kinda guys haha. S in no particular order, a bunch of charming gentlemen;Please be warn, some of the quotes might be a tad spoiler-ish.

(01) Cas Lowood of Anna Dressed in Blood / Girl of Nightmare by Kendare Blake

[Dad] just loved the legends. He loved a good story, tales about the world that made it seem cooler than it really was. He went crazy over Greek mythology, which is where I got my name.

They compromised on it, because my mom loved Shakespeare, and I ended up called Theseus Cassio. Theseus for the slayer of the Minotaur, and Cassio for Othello’s doomed lieutenant. I think it sounds straight-up stupid. Theseus Cassio Lowood. Everyone just calls me Cas.

(02) Malyen Oretsev of Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo

Alexei looked so skeptical that I had to laugh. “He wasn’t always the Amazing Mal, expert tracker and seducer of Grisha girls.”
Alexei’s jaw dropped. “He seduced a Grisha girl?”
“No, but I’m sure he will,” I muttered.

I’ve walked half the length of Ravka for you, and I’d do it again and again and again just to be with you, just to starve with you and freeze with you and hear you complain about hard cheese every day. So don’t tell me why we don’t belong together,” he said fiercely.”

(03) Lord Conall Maccon, Earl of Woolsey of Soulless by Gail Carriger

“Stop humoring her, Randolph,” barked Lord Maccon. The fourth Earl of Woolsey was much larger than Professor Lyall, and in possession of a near permanent frown. (04) Adam Faramond, Earl of Rothbury of To Wed a Wicked Earl by Olivia Parker

Minus the leather queue he always used to tie back his hair, his tousled, dark gold locks feathered against the back of his neck in a deceptively boyish manner.

“What say you?” Rothbury drawled the question, sounding less like a drunk and more like the skilled seducer he was reputed tto be – most likely because he was no speaking french.

“There you are.” Reaching up, Rothbury ruffled the tousled ebony locks between the horse’s ears, much as one would the hair of a doted-upon child.

What sort of man talked to his horse as if it were a person? In French, no less?”

(05) Simon Parker from Wallbanger by Alice Clayton

“Wha the hell? Don’t throw this. What if you’d bruised it?” he cried, gently stroking the foiled-wrapped loaf.

“I worry about you, Simon. I really do.” I laughed, watching him struggle to open the end of the wrapper. “you want me to cut you a piece -okay, or you could just do that.” I frowned as he took a giant bite out of the end.

“Thif if mine, righ?” he asked, spraying crumbs.

“how do you function in normal society?” I asked, shaking my head as he took another monster bite. He just smiled and continued, eating the entire load in less than five minutes.

(06) Gabriel Duval of Grave Mercy by Robin LaFevers

As he rows, I cannot help but study him, this man in whose hands my fate no rests. His brooding eyes are the light gray of a winter sky. His chin is covered with whiskery stubble, which makes his firm, well-shaped mouth stand out all the more. Unbidden, the word mistress echoes through my mind, and I shiver. A sense of of foreboding washes over me.

(07) Sam Roxton from I’ve Got Your Number by Sophie Kinsella

“Well here’s something to cheer you up.”

Cheer me up? I’m peering at the screen, puzzled, when a photo text suddenly arrives, which makes me laugh in surprise. It’s a picture of Sam sitting in a dentist’s chair. He’s smiling widely and wearing a cartoon sticker on his lapel that says: I was a good dental patient!!

He did that for me, flashes through my head before I can stop it. He went to the dentist for me.

(08) Oliver Saxony of Princess of the Silver Woods by Jessica Day George

“The bandit had gray eyes, as gray as the dyed leather of his mask, which gave him a cold, wintery look. Petunia almost made a remark that wolves were suppose to have yellow eyes, but she didn’t think he would find it particularly amusing.”

(09) Chaol Westfall of Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas

“Her doorknob clicked and her leapt into her throat. Was it time to finally sign her contract with the king? But it wasn’t Dorian or Nehemia. not even a page. The world stopped when Chaol entered instead.

(10) Sir Harry Valentine of What Happens in London by Julia Quinn

He looked up at her, and then – it was really quite impossible to describe, or even understand- what happened. His eyes met hers, and even though it was dark, and she couldn’t see the colour, that rich warm chocolate- she still knew it. And she felt it. And then, quite simply, she lost her thought. Just lost it. Her balance, too.
